Missouri released its updated depth chart Monday with no major changes.

Running back Morgan Steward (hip) is listed as “out” for the first time all season, though he hasn’t practiced or played since straining it in early August. The injury report hasn’t included anyone else to this point.

Marcus Murphy and Russell Hansbrough have been co-starters at running back all season, but coach Gary Pinkel moved Murphy to the top line, whatever that means. (Hansbrough occupied the top line in each of the first two weeks. Mizzou uses an “OR” between lines to distinguish equals.)

Clarence Green and Donavin Newsom now are listed as co-starters at SAM linebacker, though the two combined for just 32 snaps against Toledo, the Columbia Tribune reported.

Harold Brantley also got a promotion as co-starter with Lucas Vincent at nose guard.

Nate Crawford moved back to right guard as the co-backup with Stephen Carberry.

Taking a look at the unofficial snap counts calculated by David Morrison of the Tribune, it’s clear that three players are getting a boost in terms of snap counts regardless of the depth chart.

Cornerback Kenya Dennis, who started for a hobbled John Gibson against South Dakota State, is rotating freely with Gibson and Aarion Penton at cornerback. Dennis (45) had as many snaps as Penton (45) and more than Gibson (36), according to Morrison.

Vincent, Matt Hoch, Brantley and Josh Augusta have rotated liberally, with the latter seeing the fewest number of snaps.
