While a long snapper won’t (necessarily) garner many press clippings, landing Bay is a boon for the Tigers’ program. Special teams are a very significant and underrated entity within every football team. Having a consistent snapper on both punts and field-goal attempts is extremely important.
Additionally, these long snappers often come in as true freshmen and impact right away.
Bay likely won’t throw any touchdowns. The odds of him making a bone-crunching tackle also aren’t high. However, he certainly has the ability to become a key cog in the Mizzou special teams unit early in his career.
