A Mizzou lineman is leaving the program after 1 season with the Tigers.
Redshirt freshman center Talan Chandler announced his departure on Monday via social media. He thanked Eli Drinkwitz and Brandon Jones for the opportunity.
After careful consideration with my family, I will officially be entering the transfer portal on April 16th with 4 years of eligibility remaining,” Chandler wrote in an Instagram post.
“I would like to thank Coach Drinkwitz, Coach Jones and the Mizzou staff and community for the opportunity that was given to me. I look forward to the future and pursuit of my dream!
Chandler arrived in Columbia from Nevada (Missouri) High School. As a recruit, he was rated 3-stars, the No. 13 player in the state of Missouri, No. 62 interior offensive lineman and No. 861 prospect overall in the Class of 2024 on the 247Sports Composite.

Mizzou completed its spring practice in March. The undergraduate window for transfer portal entry opens Wednesday.
