Cornerback Davion Sistrunk announced on Twitter on Monday that he is leaving the Missouri program and heading to the NCAA transfer portal to continue his collegiate career elsewhere.

“First off, I want to thank the University of Missouri for letting me be a part of their program for the last few years,” the redshirt freshman from Eau Gallie, Florida, wrote. “I have developed as a man and I am grateful for everything the program has done for me. With that being said, I will be entering the transfer portal. All Love, Davion Sistrunk.”

Sistrunk was a 3-star cornerback prospect by all the major recruiting services, and 247Sports rated him as the nation’s 56th-ranked cornerback prospect coming out of the Sunshine State.

Sistrunk played in only 1 game as a freshman last season, preserving a redshirt year. No game log information was provided for Sistrunk this season, and now he’ll be heading elsewhere to continue his career.
