Mizzou Madness is set ahead of the Tigers’ second season under Dennis Gates.
The program announced Wednesday that Mizzou Madness will take place on Friday, Oct. 6, the day before Eli Drinkwitz’s squad hosts No. 14 LSU. Madness festivities are set to begin at 9 p.m. A basketball court will be placed on MU campus at Francis Quadrangle in front of the Columns and Jesse Hall.
Madness festivities are highlighted by the introductions of the men’s and women’s basketball teams, who will participate in interactive games with members of the audience. The event is also set to feature a live DJ, food vendors and a laser show.
Gates accepted the Tigers coaching job in March 2022. Mizzou went 25-10 overall in the 2022-23 campaign, posting an 11-7 mark in SEC play, good for a tie for 4th place in the conference standings.
Mizzou picked up its first NCAA Tournament victory since 2010 with a 75-65 victory over No. 10 seed Utah State in the first round. The Tigers’ season came to an end when they were eliminated from the Big Dance in the Round of 32, falling to No. 15 seed Princeton 78-63.
The Tigers are scheduled to host Arkansas Pine-Bluff on Nov. 6.
