The Missouri Tigers have been on a large upswing during the 2023 season as head coach Eli Drinkwitz’s plan seems to finally be coming to fruition at Mizzou.

The Tigers’ most recent win was in SEC play over the Vanderbilt Commodores as they registered a 38-21 victory on the road. Quarterback Brady Cook has been among the team’s biggest standouts, also establishing himself as one of the better quarterbacks in the nation, finishing out the game completing 33-of-41 passes for 395 yards with 4 touchdowns.

Mizzou named its players of the game recently after the win over Vanderbilt, which included Cook, Kris Abrams-Draine, Tre’Vez Johnson, Josh Landry and Armand Membou.

Abrams-Draine was among the team’s most important players on the defensive side of the ball as he finished out with 5 total tackles (4 solo) and 1 interception.

Up next on the schedule, the Tigers will face No. 23-ranked LSU in what is sure to be highly competitive matchup between the two Tigers teams of the SEC.

This previously was a contest in which LSU was expected to boat race Mizzou with the difference in talent and level of play, but the shake-up within the conference has proven evident and is perfectly illustrated by games like this one.
