Mizzou is preparing to take on Iowa in the TransPerfect Music City Bowl. While waiting to play in that game, the team is making some moves in the transfer portal.
On Friday, the team added offensive lineman Dominick Giudice from Michigan. Then, on Friday night, Mizzou added veteran offensive lineman Keagen Trost from Wake Forest. Trost saw action in all 12 games for the Demon Deacons in 2024 and played 766 snaps. The lineman entered the portal on Dec. 17.
Trost posted an edit of himself in Mizzou gear with a Tiger emoji as the caption to announce his decision.
The Tigers need reinforcements on the offensive line as 4 starters from 2024 are out of eligibility. Trost joins Giudice as offensive linemen to commit to the Tigers in the portal and the 9th player overall.
Before college, Trost played at Kankakee High School in Kankakee, IL. The lineman began his college career at FCS Morgan State before transferring to Indiana State. After 2 seasons with the Sycamores, Trost moved to Wake Forest for the 2024 season. Now at Mizzou, Trost will have 1 season of eligibility remaining as a redshirt senior.
The Tigers finished the 2024 season with a 9-3 record. The team had College Football Playoff hopes entering the season, but underperformance and injuries derailed a once-promising season. The team enjoyed wins over Arkansas, Auburn, and Oklahoma, but lost in blowout fashion to Alabama and Texas A&M.
Now, the Tigers will look to wrap up the 2024 season with a win over Iowa in the Music City Bowl.
