Buckeyes CB Eli Apple is working hard this week at the NFL Combine, but his mom Annie Apple is giving some pretty vocal props to Ohio State RB Ezekiel Elliott.

And she’s throwing some late shade on Alabama in the process.

In the 2015 Sugar Bowl, which was also one of the inaugural College Football Playoff semifinal games, Elliott carried the ball 20 times for 230 yards and 2 TDs in the Buckeye’s 42-35 upset of the Tide.

He continued to be a huge part of the Ohio State offense in the 2015 season with 289 carries for 1,821 yards and 21 TDs on the ground, as well as 27 catches for 206 yards in the air.

He was also involved in some controversy after publicly criticizing his coaches for not giving him the ball enough. The junior entered the NFL draft after the season, and he is currently graded at 7.2 at the combine.

His sophomore teammate Apple is also at the combine, and he holds a combine grade of 5.68.

Apple had 33 tackles and a single interception in his second year as starter. He is eligible for the NFL draft as a redshirt sophomore.

Apple’s mom Annie is a writer for Survivin America, where she describes herself as a Hall of Fame Mom.
