How bad has the SEC East been in 2016?

According to CBSSports.com, S&P efficiency rankings have the division ranked lower than the Mountain West’s Mountain Division.

For reference, the Mountain Division contains Boise State and other football powers like Colorado State, Wyoming, Air Force, Utah State and New Mexico.

On the other hand, the SEC West is the No. 1 division in the S&P efficiency rankings by a large margin over the second-place ACC Atlantic Division. However, the SEC East needs to do its part and rise from the No. 9 spot in the coming weeks.
