Kalen DeBoer’s teams continue to thrive in the month of November.
That was headlined by the statement victory the Alabama Crimson Tide recorded over the LSU Tigers on Saturday in Baton Rouge, taking down their arch rival, 42-13.
Matt Zenitz of CBS Sports recently outlined just how potent DeBoer and his teams have been historically in November, so it’s easy to get the sense they’re just getting started. DeBoer now holds an impressive 33-2 record as a head coach for the month of November.
Of that, he is 9-0 win the month of November as a power conference head coach (Alabama and Washington). Looking at top-25 opponents specifically, DeBoer is 15-3 over his career.
With Alabama’s win over No. 15 LSU last night in Baton Rouge, Kalen DeBoer is now 33-2 in November as a head coach.

This bodes well for Alabama, which has been in a state of transition under DeBoer that was initially — and has continued to be in some capacities — met with a great deal of controversy. The Crimson Tide were also especially under the microscope on Saturday, which was considered to be a must-win game for them to have a chance at making it into the College Football Playoff race.
It seemed almost impossible for this team to fully bounce back after the 40-35 loss it suffered to Vanderbilt earlier in this season, but at least for now, they now look like a squad that we’ll definitely see in the CFP.
