Several SEC players made the cut when Sporting News released its 2022 College Football All-America Team on Tuesday.

Here’s a look at who was representative of the conference in the honors:

First team:

  • WR Jalin Hyatt, Tennessee
  • OG O’Cyrus Torrence, Florida
  • DT Jalen Carter, Georgia
  • OLB Will Anderson Jr., Alabama
  • LB Jamon Dumas-Thomson, Georgia
  • SS Christopher Smith, Georgia

Second team:

  • TE Brock Bowers, Georgia
  • OLB Drew Sanders, Arkansas
  • CB Emmanuel Forbes, Mississippi State
  • CB “Kool-Aid” McKinstry, Alabama
  • SS Jordan Battle, Alabama

There’s no denying that every player that made it onto this list fully deserved recognition, though there may be some quibbles with certain players recognized on the second team like Forbes who arguably deserved more recognition after a record-breaking career.
