Myles Garrett has made a comfortable living chasing after quarterbacks in the backfield for the Cleveland Browns.
But in Sunday’s game against the Eagles, the former Texas A&M star defensive end proved that he can also make a major impact on special teams as well. Garrett blocked a last-minute field goal attempt by Philadelphia at the end of the first half, and Browns’ safety Rodney McLeod Jr., a former Eagle, returned it for a touchdown to even the game at 10 entering the break.

By his standards, Garrett isn’t having his most productive season in 2024. He’s registered just nine total tackles through five games, although he has picked up four tackles for loss and forced a pair of fumbles. Of course, the blocked field goal now adds a nice highlight to that stat sheet as well.
Given his 6-foot-4 frame and 35 1/4 inch wingspan, it’s no wonder that Garrett is able to reach up and block kicks like this with ease, as this instance also serves as just another example of his physical superiority to even most NFL players.
