The tragic death of the Cincinnati-based gorilla Harambe has been chronicled considerably all throughout the country. Harambe has became a virtual meme sensation overnight — thus illuminating his already massive stature.
Two ironic signs were captured in the stands at Nippert Stadium. Not only are the individuals attempting to tap in to the current fame and popularity surrounding the gorilla, but they’re also paying homage to this student — who got over 3,000 people to send him money for alcohol via the app Venmo.
One has to wonder whether this ploy engineered by these Cincy fans will be successful. If not, one would think there wouldn’t be a shortage of libations made available for this contest in the tailgating area.
