Nate Bargatze shouts out Vanderbilt while hosting Saturday Night Live

Nate Bargatze was the host of Saturday Night Live on NBC on … well… Saturday night. Bargatze is a Nashville native and a popular comedian.
Interestingly enough, Bargatze was the celebrity guest picker at Alabama last year ahead of the Crimson Tide’s game against LSU.
But on Saturday night, Bargatze’s Nashville roots came out, as he gave the Commodores a shoutout for their stunning 40-35 victory over No. 1 Alabama during the show:

Bargatze was likely sad he missed out on the festivities on Broadway after Vanderbilt fans tore down the goalposts and carried them downtown before depositing them into the river.
However, hosting Saturday Night Live is also a pretty special thing, so hopefully he doesn’t have too much FOMO.
It was a historic night for the Commodores, who were 0-60 in their last 60 games against top-5 opponents and had never beaten the No. 1 team in the AP Poll.
Those dubious streaks came to an end in epic fashion on Saturday night, perhaps the most shocking of all the top-10 upsets in Week 6.
