Jahvon Quinerly will get the opportunity to play on Friday as Alabama takes on Jacksonville State at Coleman Coliseum.

Quinerly tore his ACL in the season-ending loss to Notre Dame during the 2022 NCAA Tournament in March. Just a few weeks after the injury, Quinerly announced his plans to return to Alabama for the 2022-23 season.

On Tuesday, Crimson Tide head coach Nate Oats discussed the strategy Alabama is using for the return of Quinerly, saying the elite guard would be returning with a minutes restriction. It’s an early comeback for the Quinerly, who was previously predicted to return to game action as early as the first weeks of December.

Quinerly appeared in 33 games last season, and made 27 starts. He was second on the team in scoring with 13.8 points and 4.2 assists.

Alabama and JSU tip off at 9:00pm on Friday.
