Mississippi State defensive lineman Nathan Pickering is returning to Starkville for the 2023 season, as he indicated on social media Thursday.
Pickering took to Twitter with the same “run it back” graphic that some other Bulldogs have used to announce their return.

Pickering finished out the 2022 season with 25 total tackles (11 solo), also recording 2 sacks and 1 pass defended. Over 4 seasons with the Bulldogs to this point, Pickering tallies 78 tackles (31 solo), 11 sacks and 1 pass defended.
With the announcement of his return, he joins the likes of edge rusher Jordan Davis, linebacker Nathaniel “Bookie” Watson and defensive lineman Jaden Crumedy. That’s good news for a Bulldogs defensive unit that was already strong in 2022 and will now have a great deal of experience.
