For most of the SEC, Week 10 brought upsets and close calls, dashing postseason hopes for some and sparking them in others.
The Tide edged out LSU in a 10-0 battle, maintaining the No. 1 spot while knocking the Tigers further down the ladder.
Auburn made a narrow 23-16 escape at home against the Commodores, which means the Tigers remain in the thick of postseason projections and Vandy is still on the outside.
The Hogs blindsided the Gators, 31-10, and while Florida hasn’t fallen from the bowl projection, the quality of its bowl game selection has suffered.
Kentucky has been hot as of late, but Georgia dropped the Wildcats, 27-24, and both teams are just one win away from bowl-eligibility.
Mississippi State shocked the league when it knocked off the Aggies, 35-28. It didn’t help the Bulldogs much in terms of their postseason outlook, but it definitely knocked Texas A&M out of Playoff contention.
Ole Miss struggled against Georgia Southern, only putting away the Eagles, 37-27. The close game definitely hurts the Rebels chances to get a good bowl game but not as much as Chad Kelly’s season-ending injury.
