Nation’s No. 1 recruit changes plans for announcement and final official visit
The top overall recruit for 2016 has rethought a couple things.
For starters, Rashan Gary is changing how he’ll be announcing his college decision. Secondly, he’ll be taking his final official visit to another school instead of Alabama.
The five-star defensive tackle out of New Jersey — who reportedly still has five teams in the mix in Michigan, Alabama, Auburn, Clemson and Ole Miss — will be in Bristol for “SportsCenter” on National Signing Day to announce his decision at 1 p.m. ET.
The 6-foot-5, 293-pounder had said last week that he’d be doing so on CBS Sports Network.
ESPN college football analyst/reporter Tom VanHaaren said as much on Twitter on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, SEC Country has said that Gary won’t be taking his last official visit to Alabama as expected. Gary’s mother, Jennifer Coney, told SEC Country that he’ll instead be visiting the school that the Crimson Tide beat in the national championship game, Clemson.
Coney had told SEC Country that Gary was favoring a trip to Alabama earlier in the week.
