Immanuel Quickley became a true star this past season at Kentucky, winning the SEC co-Player of the Year award.

In 30 games, Quickley averaged 16.1 points, 4.2 rebounds and 1.9 assists per night. He had a knack for big plays, knocking down shots whenever the Wildcats needed them.

On Wednesday night, Quickley became a first-round pick in the 2020 NBA Draft. The Oklahoma City Thunder chose him with the No. 25 overall pick.

Quickley wasn’t expected to be a first-round pick by many analysts, but on Wednesday, prior to the start of the draft, he was a guy who was reportedly rising up draft boards. Now, he’ll join another former Kentucky guard, as Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is a member of the Thunder, as well.

Quickley shot 42.8% from three-point range last season at Kentucky. He’ll be counted on to knock down some long-range shots for the Thunder this coming season.
