This news holds transfer portal entries until Dec. 5, the next open window for a player to transfer. This Dec. 5 window is open for 45 days and will close until the next window on May 1-15.
This news halts communication between would-be transfers and possible destinations, forbidding schools from talking to student-athletes who entered the portal since the Aug. 31 deadline.
