With fans resorting to pints of hard liquor, it’s probably a good thing that the beer shortage happened after halftime. Due to credit card machines being down and the stadium not accepting cash, Nebraska and Northwestern fans were treated to free concessions, including beer.

The Omaha (NE) reported live that people were given “as many as he or she could carry in a cardboard drink carrier. One man carried seven. Most tried to get four.” If there’s any country that could handle inebriated college football fans, it’s certainly Ireland. We’ll see if fans can handle the Irish hospitality.
