New season, same mistakes: broadcast makes another terrible mistake calling FG in Toledo game
Depending on where broadcasters are sitting, it can be hard to tell if a field goal attempt was successful or not. But some calls just leave you baffled, wondering what game the announcers were actually watching.
For the second season in a row now, the broadcasters with CBS Sports Network have messed up field goal calls during games at Toledo, and it was absolutely hysterical.

The Nevada-Toledo call on Saturday was hilarious because the announcer said “it’s not even close,” when the ball actually went through the uprights. After he realized his error, he let out a prolonged “and” as if the ball was still in the air, when the referees were clearly signaling it good on the field for several seconds.
It was a pretty bad save attempt by the broadcast team on this one.
