Photo: South Carolina reveals artwork to replace Steve Spurrier banner in stadium
Williams-Brice Stadium will look a little different when fans arrive for South Carolina’s home opener against East Carolina on Sept. 17.
A new banner will hang on the west side of the stadium, which was previously occupied by a large picture of former coach Stever Spurrier. Shortly after Spurrier’s decision to retire last season, the school removed the banner from the stadium.
South Carolina tweeted a picture of the new artwork Tuesday morning, and fans might like the new intimidating look.
