On Saturday, Texas A&M coach Jimbo Fisher made a questionable decision when he aggressively grabbed the face mask of linebacker Tyrel Dodson during the Aggies’ 24-17 win over Arkansas.

Dodson was involved in an on-field confrontation, and Fisher wanted to make sure his player would keep his cool, so he grabbed him.

It doesn’t make much sense, losing your cool to make sure someone else doesn’t, but Fisher’s outburst was captured on video and it quickly made its rounds on social media:

The video started lively debates on Twitter, and people debated if a coach shouldn’t be allowed to put his hands on a player or if it’s completely fine.

Philadelphia Eagles DE Chris Long also saw the video, and he was confused as to why coaches are allowed to get aggressive with their players.

“Garbage” is a pretty strong word, but there is definitely a double standard when it comes to what’s expected from your coach compared to your players.

Fisher’s grabbing of Dodson like that definitely got his attention, but he may have been able to do that without physically putting hands on him as well.
