NFL Draft 2025: 15 SEC players projected in Round 1 of ESPN’s latest mock

NFL Draft season is officially upon us. The 2025 NFL Draft will begin on Thursday, April 24, at Lambeau Field in Green Bay.

The NFL Combine is in the rearview mirror and Pro Days are wrapping up. Soon teams will finalize their draft boards and then we’ll see where top prospects are taken in the 7-round event.

On Thursday, ESPN expert Matt Miller released his full 7-round mock draft. He had the SEC dominating Round 1, producing a whopping 15 first-round selections.

Georgia and Texas lead the way with 3 Round 1 picks each. Mizzou and Ole Miss have 2 first-rounders apiece. Here’s a look at the SEC players in the first round of Miller’s mock draft:

  • No. 7 — Armand Membou, OL, Mizzou — New York Jets
  • No. 8 — Jalon Walker, Edge, Georgia — Carolina Panthers
  • No. 9 — Jahdae Barron, CB, Texas — New Orleans Saints
  • No. 13 — Will Campbell, OL, LSU — Miami Dolphins
  • No. 15 — Jihaad Campbell, LB, Alabama — Atlanta Falcons
  • No. 17 — Nick Emmanwori, S, South Carolina — Cincinnati Bengals
  • No. 18 — Matthew Golden, WR, Texas — Seattle Seahawks
  • No. 19 — Malaki Starks, DB, Georgia — Tampa Bay Buccaneers
  • No. 20 — Luther Burden III, WR, Mizzou — Denver Broncos
  • No. 23 — Kelvin Banks Jr., OL, Texas — Green Bay Packers
  • No. 24 — Maxwell Hairston, CB, Kentucky — Minnesota Vikings
  • No. 26 — Jaxson Dart, QB, Ole Miss — Los Angeles Rams
  • No. 29 — Shemar Stewart, Edge, Texas A&M — Washington Commanders
  • No. 30 — Trey Amos, CB, Ole Miss — Buffalo Bills
  • No. 31 — Mykel Williams, Edge, Georgia — Kansas City Chiefs
