NFL Draft season is among us. From now until the event kicks off on Thursday, April 24, 2025, at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin, we’ll see plenty of big boards and mock drafts.
On Tuesday, NFL.com analyst Daniel Jeremiah, one of the biggest names in the draft scouting business, released his first top-50 big board. The list ended up being 40% SEC players, as 20 standouts from the conference made the cut.
No SEC players made the top 5, but 3 were included in the top 10, led by Georgia edge rusher Jalon Carter. Here’s a look at the 20 SEC guys who made the top 50:
- No. 6 — Jalon Carter, Edge, Georgia
- No. 8 — Will Campbell, OL, LSU
- No. 9 — Jahdae Barron, DB, Texas
- No. 13 — Jihaad Campbell, LB, Alabama
- No. 14 — Tyler Booker, OL, Alabama
- No. 16 — Mykel Williams, DL, Georgia
- No. 17 — Armond Membou, OL, Mizzou
- No. 19 — Kelvin Banks Jr., OL, Texas
- No. 20 — James Pearce Jr., Edge, Tennessee
- No. 21 — Nick Emmanwori, DB, South Carolina
- No. 24 — Matthew Golden, WR, Texas
- No. 26 — Walter Nolen, DL, Ole Miss
- No. 27 — Shemar Stewart, Edge, Texas A&M
- No. 32 — Luther Burden III, WR, Mizzou
- No. 33 — Malaki Starks, DB, Georgia
- No. 35 — Mason Taylor, TE, LSU
- No. 41 — Jaxson Dart, QB, Ole Miss
- No. 42 — TJ Sanders, DL, South Carolina
- No. 44 — Maxwell Hairston, DB, Kentucky
- No. 50 — Alfred Collins, DL, Texas
Unsurprisingly, Texas leads the way with 4 players in the top 50 coming off a season where the Longhorns made it to the College Football Playoff semifinals before losing to eventual champion Ohio State.
Penn State edge rusher Abdul Carter took the No. 1 spot in Jeremiah’s rankings. We’ll see if he ends up being the No. 1 overall pick in April. The Tennessee Titans currently hold that pick.
