The 2025 NFL Draft kicks off on Thursday night with Round 1 from Green Bay. That means analysts everywhere are finalizing their mock drafts this week.
The SEC is once again expected to absolutely dominate the first round. That’s what NFL.com analyst Eric Edholm thinks will happen, too.
In Edholm’s latest mock draft, he has an impressive 16 SEC football standouts hearing their names called in the first 32 picks. For those of us who aren’t great at math, that’s 50% of all Round 1 picks coming from the SEC.
A total of 4 SEC teams account for 12 of the 16 first-rounders, 3 apiece. Those schools are Georgia, Texas, Alabama and Ole Miss. Meanwhile, LSU, Mizzou, Texas A&M and South Carolina have 1 pick each:
- No. 4 — Will Campbell, OL, LSU — New England Patriots
- No. 7 — Armand Membou, OL, Mizzou — New York Jets
- No. 8 — Jalon Walker, Edge, Georgia — Carolina Panthers
- No. 11 — Shemar Stewart, Edge, Texas A&M — San Francisco 49ers
- No. 13 — Jahdae Barron, CB, Texas — Miami Dolphins
- No. 16 — Matthew Golden, WR, Texas — Arizona Cardinals
- No. 18 — Tyler Booker, OL, Alabama — Seattle Seahawks
- No. 19 — Jihaad Campbell, LB, Alabama — Tampa Bay Buccaneers
- No. 21 — Jaxson Dart, QB, Ole Miss — Pittsburgh Steelers
- No. 24 — Jalen Milroe, QB, Alabama New York Giants (TRADE WITH MINNESOTA)
- No. 25 — Kelvin Banks Jr., OL, Texas — Houston Texans
- No. 26 — Nick Emmanwori, S, South Carolina — Los Angeles Rams
- No. 27 — Malaki Starks, S, Georgia — Baltimore Ravens
- No. 28 — Mykel Williams, Edge, Georgia — Detroit Lions
- No. 30 — Trey Amos, CB, Ole Miss — Buffalo Bills
- No. 32 — Walter Nolen, DL, Ole Miss — Philadelphia Eagles
Will these picks be proven accurate? We’ll find out later this week at Lambeau Field when Round 1 officially kicks off.
