Eric Stokes after posting blazing 40-yard dash times at his Pro Day: ‘Speed-wise, it was just another day’
Eric Stokes likely made himself some money today following his impressive performance during Georgia’s Pro Day event.
Coming off a season in which he was voted First Team All-SEC after starting every game for Georgia and intercepting four passes — returning two of them back for touchdowns, everyone already knew Stokes could play at the game’s highest level.
But sometimes, the scouts have to see it to believe it and Stokes showed them what he’s working with by posting some incredible 40-yard dash times during the event on Wednesday.
Stokes ran twice, posting a 4.25 and a 4.29 40-yard dash per a scout’s watch, according to NFL Senior Bowl executive Jim Nagy.
Following the impressive showing, Stokes was asked about his latest times.
“Speed-wise, it was just another day,” he says in the clip below. “I just had to come out here and prove this is a 4.2 here.”
