Clyde Edwards-Helaire returns to practice leading up to Kansas City’s upcoming playoff game

Good news for the Chiefs as Clyde Edwards-Helaire has returned to practice.
The Kansas City rookie running back has not been able to play for the Chiefs since Dec. 20 when he suffered a high ankle sprain injury against the Saints.
Things are looking up for Edwards-Helaire to potentially return to the field for the Cheifs this weekend, however, as Kansas City head coach Andy Reid recently offered up a promising update on the rookie’s status.
“He just went right at it. Fearless with it. And as a result, he’s probably a little bit ahead,” Reid said according to Sam McDowell of the Kansas City Star.
In the 13 games he’s played so far in his rookie season, Edwards-Helaire has registered 1,100 total yards (803 rushing and 297 receiving) and five touchdowns for Kansas City. The Chiefs selected Edwards-Helaire with the No. 32 overall pick in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft.
Kansas City, which finished with the No. 1 seed in the AFC this season, is set to host the Browns on Sunday in the Division Round of the NFL playoffs.
