Nick Chubb makes the smart football play but his decision has bettors, fantasy players irate
Nick Chubb just made himself a lot of enemies.
With the Browns leading 10-7 in the game’s final moments, Chubb rushed the ball 59 yards and then intentionally ran out of bounds at the 1-yard line to ice the game.
Here’s the play:

That decision proved costly for bettors who picked the Browns. The line moved throughout the week, but Cleveland was consistently between 3-and-4.5 point favorites, so a touchdown would have easily covered the spread.
To make matters worse for Cleveland backers, they were only in this situation because the Texans marched down the field to score late in the fourth quarter. The Browns led the entire game.
Fantasy owners are also picking a fight with Chubb, as they likely could have used the extra six points that come with a rushing touchdown.
Here’s some of the reaction to Chubb’s choice:

Nick Chubb came back after an injury on a mission. And that mission was to screw Browns bettors and fantasy owners.
