Nick Chubb bounced back from injury in a big way on Sunday with a touchdown in the Browns’ Sunday afternoon contest against the Cincinnati Bengals. It’s his first trip to the end zone in 398 days after he suffered the season-ending ailment.
The former Georgia running back took it in for the 1-yard scoring run with under a minute left in the second quarter. Unfortunately for Cleveland, the team was not able to tie that game at 7-7 due to the missed extra point by place-kicker Dustin Hopkins.
Because of that, the Browns trailed the Bengals, 7-6 when both teams walked into the locker room at halftime.

Chubb hasn’t been incredibly productive as he continues to knock the rust off, but he has clearly made an impact on a game that would not be this close if it were not for some of Cleveland’s self-inflicted mistakes. He currently totals 10 carries for 20 yards with the 1 touchdown. He and the offense will be forced to play the rest of the game with Dorian Thompson-Robinson at quarterback after starting QB Deshaun Watson went down with an apparent Achilles injury.
The Browns trail the Bengals 14-6 in the 3rd quarter. The game is airing on CBS.
