Nick Elksnis was a member of the Florida tight end room for the 2022 season, but didn’t record any stats during the year.

After the regular season, he entered his name in the NCAA transfer portal to explore his options ahead of 2023, and now he’s made a decision.

He won’t be going far, as he revealed on Twitter on Sunday afternoon that he was committing to coach Shane Beamer and the South Carolina Gamecocks:

This is a much-needed boost for the Gamecocks, who lost tight ends Jaheim Bell to Florida State and Austin Stogner to Oklahoma.

Elksnis was a member of Florida’s 2021 recruiting class. What sort of role he carves out for himself at South Carolina remains to be seen.
