Nick Saban is not only the best coach in Alabama history (and very likely the history of college football), he’s also pretty solid in front of the camera.
The 7-time national champion is now a College GameDay analyst on ESPN, and he is now in the prediction business.
Though he didn’t have time for hypotheticals and projections during his time as a head coach, he’ll now have to make picks and predictions as part of his media gig.
On Saturday, College GameDay was in Dublin, Ireland, ahead of a Week 0 ACC matchup between Georgia Tech and Florida State.
During the show, Nick Saban predicted the 12-team College Football Playoff field. Here’s a look at his full projections:
Saban’s full 12-team predictions are as follows:
- Georgia
- Ohio State
- Florida State
- Utah
- Texas
- Oregon
- Alabama
- Ole Miss
- Penn State
- Notre Dame
- LSU
- Liberty
Saban has Mizzou and Clemson as his first 2 teams out of the field. He included 5 SEC teams, 3 B1G squads, 1 ACC team, 1 Big 12 team, independent Notre Dame and Group of 5 squad Liberty in his projections.
Will Saban be proven right? We’ll see what happens when a more robust Week 1 slate of games kicks off on Thursday. For now, we’ll get our first look at Florida State at noon ET on ESPN.
