Nick Saban is the newest analyst on ESPN’s College GameDay, a popular pregame show every Saturday morning on the Worldwide Leader.
Saban joins the show that is hosted by Rece Davis. He’ll serve as an analyst alongside Desmond Howard, Pat McAfee and Kirk Herbstreit.
The show was live from Dublin, Ireland, on Saturday ahead of an ACC showdown between Florida State and Georgia Tech to kick off the Week 0 slate.
Early on in the show, Saban was officially welcomed to the crew:

If I can’t have Nick Saban on Bama’s sidelines, I guess GameDay will have to do. Roll Tide!! pic.twitter.com/6XfcGPhu9M

Yes, we all miss Nick Saban on the Alabama sidelines. But as he embarks on this next stage of his career, it seems he already has plenty of fans.
Next week, College GameDay will be in College Station ahead of the Texas A&M-Notre Dame game. We’ll see how Saban is at analyzing the SEC, where he coached the vast majority of his college career. And we’ll see if Saban and the GameDay crew make their way to Tuscaloosa at all this season.
