The Crimson Tide are set to square off with the Florida State Seminoles in the Chic-fil-A Kickoff Game Saturday night at Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia. Unfortunately, it looks like the Tide may be without one of their talented RB’s.

Nick Saban was asked about Josh Jacobs’ health during his press conference Monday, and Saban said it is still too early to make a decision. The team will continue to watch Jacobs, but a decision will not come until later this week.

“Josh is day-to-day, won’t know (his status) until midweek,” Saban said.

Alabama has a talented and deep backfield, but there are a few health concerns heading into the start of the season. Jacobs is still trying to get healthy, and Bo Scarbrough has dealt with his own health issues this summer as he works his way back from a broken leg.

The Tide are certainly better with both Jacobs and Scarbrough available, but 1,000-yard rusher Damien Harris and 5-star freshman Najee Harris should be available to carry the load if need be.
