After taking a Week 2 loss at home against Texas, Alabama is looking to be perfect for the remainder of the season as the Tide gun to make a big for the College Football Playoff.
For head coach Nick Saban, that begins with good practice habits. Saban believes his team hasn’t had bad practice habits this season, but he wants to make sure good practices become the standard moving forward.
Saban discussed the team’s practice habits during the SEC coaches teleconference on Wednesday.
“I don’t think we’ve had bad practice habits,” Saban said. “I don’t think there’s been times when we haven’t done things particularly well and we want to get those things corrected.”
Since the loss on Saturday, he’s also seen leaders emerge and hold players accountable in practice, which is always a sign of a good team.
“I’ve been pretty pleased with the way the players on the team that are the leaders of the team have responded and tried to hold people accountable,” Saban said.
Alabama will get a chance to bounce back from the loss as the Tide faces South Florida on Saturday. Saban is looking to get his team dialed back in before they take on a bigger challenge in the following week against Ole Miss.
Alabama and South Florida will kickoff at 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday.
