Perhaps the most interesting thing about the college football Coaches Poll is not the poll itself, but the public ballots of the coaches who vote for the Top 25.
Nick Saban cast his final ballot for the 2017 Coaches Poll, which was released on Sunday.
Since the ballots are public, you can see how coaches around the country voted here.
It is quite interesting, in particular, to see which coaches vote their teams a little higher than they should be. While there’s not much obvious bias — most of the coaches keep it fair — you can sometimes tell when things are a bit off.
Saban voted his own team at No. 4, which seems pretty fair with all things considered. The Crimson Tide ended up being the No. 4 seed in the College Football Playoff.
