Colin Cowherd says that Nico Iamaleava is going to transfer to UCLA.
The FOX Sports 1 host posted on social media that he was told the Tennessee transfer quarterback will continue his career at UCLA. Cowherd would be a surprising source to break the news, as he is not known as a college football insider.
I am told — moments ago — Nico Iamaleava is going to UCLA. Family still claims it’s NOT about the It’s about the @Vol_Football offense. I was not told what the Bruins are paying.

Iamaleava has been one of the most talked-about players in college football over the past week. Last Thursday, it was reported that he was in negotiations with Tennessee for a new NIL contract. After he missed a practice, Tennessee announced on Saturday that it was moving on from Iamaleava.
Hours after the spring window for undergraduate entry into the transfer portal opened Wednesday, multiple outlets reported that Iamaleava had officially entered his name into the transfer portal with a “do not contact” tag, indicating he is not seeking to be recruited and will instead initiate contact with teams.
UCLA has long been considered a fitting landing spot for Iamaleava, who is from southern California. The Bruins have an opening at QB with Ethan Garbers out of eligibility and Justyn Martin transferring to Maryland.
