Nitro Tuggle and Michael Jackson, former Georgia receivers, commit to Big Ten program
A couple of former Georgia wide receivers committed to Purdue on Monday.
Nitro Tuggle and Michael Jackson both entered the portal earlier this spring and will now be continuing their college careers with Barry Odom and the Boilermakers. Tuggle’s commitment was first shared by On3’s Hayes Fawcett on Monday evening:
Back in March, Tuggle was arrested on charges of speeding and reckless driving in Athens. Both charges were classified as misdemeanors, but Tuggle was suspended indefinitely by coach Kirby Smart after the alleged incident.
On the field, Tuggle caught 3 passes for 34 yards last year in his true freshman season. He was a 4-star prospect and the No. 102 player in the class of 2024, per 247Sports Composite rankings.
Jackson is a college football veteran who began his career at USC and played sparingly for the Bulldogs last season. He caught just 1 pass for 10 yards and ended up redshirting during his lone season in Athens.
News of Jackson’s transfer was first shared by 247Sports’ Chris Hummer and Matt Zenitz:
Georgia has upgraded its wide receiver room this offseason via the transfer portal. The Bulldogs previously signed receivers Noah Thomas, Zachariah Branch and Micah Bell via the portal during the winter window.
