No. 1 LSU women’s basketball flamed on social media after season-opening loss to Colorado

The hype surrounding No. 1 LSU basketball was something serious entering the 2023-24 season opener against No. 20 Colorado.
The defending national champions, led by Angel Reese and Louisville transfer Hailey Van Lith, didn’t just lose Game 1. Colorado ran them out of the gym. The Tigers fell 92-78.
That’s… surprising. Especially considering Reese had a strong game, totaling 15 points with 12 rebounds.
Ultimately, this game came down to shot making. Colorado finished 53% from the field while LSU hovered just above 43% from the field. LSU won the rebound battle, had less turnovers and less fouls. Sometimes, it’s just make or miss.
Basketball fans took to social media Monday to blast the Tigers for their opening night performance. Here’s some of the reaction:

Sometimes a slice of humble pie is a good thing. LSU just got completely dominated. This team will be fine though. Learn and move on.
