Notre Dame and Miami will kick off their 2025 seasons on Sunday night, August 31.
The game will kick off from Hard Rock Stadium on Sunday, August 31, at 8:30 p.m. ET. The ACC confirmed those details on Thursday afternoon.
This will be the first meeting between the schools since 2017 and the 27th meeting overall.
In the last meeting in 2017, Miami came out on top, winning 41-8. Before that blowout, however, the Irish had won 4 in a row in the series and 17 of the all-time meetings.
In 2024, both the Fighting Irish and Hurricanes impressed. The Hurricanes went 10-2 and narrowly missed out on making the College Football Playoff. Instead, the team earned a bid to the Pop-Tarts Bowl where they fell to Iowa State. Quarterback Cam Ward had an incredible season, finishing 4th in Heisman voting, and is considered one of the best prospects in the 2025 NFL Draft.
The Irish’s season just ended this week. The team carved through the Playoff and met up with Ohio State in the title game. The Irish gave a valiant effort but were ultimately unable to take down the Buckeyes and lost 34-23. In the Playoff, the Irish racked up wins over Indiana, Georgia, and Penn State and ended the season with a 14-2 record.
The ACC revealed all of the conference’s Week 0 and Week 1 games on Thursday night. On Friday, the ACC openers for all 17 teams will be revealed, and the full schedules will drop on Monday.
