Ohio State’s entire world changed in about 3 hours on a forgettable Saturday afternoon at the Horseshoe.

Hated Michigan came into Columbus and stole the Buckeyes’ lunch in a 13-10 shocker. Even more, the Wolverines might have just stolen Ohio State’s College Football Playoff berth. To some stunned (and angered) fans, that’s exactly what might have happened in The Game, as the No. 2 Buckeyes came up empty as a huge home favorite and let a 6-5 Michigan team possibly derail their national title dreams.

Quarterback Will Howard was awful in his first taste of the rivalry, throwing 2 interceptions and leading an Ohio State offense that managed a meager 252 total yards on the day. Michigan only had 234 total yards, but the Wolverines, with nothing to lose, turned a late 11-play drive into the game-winning field goal with just 45 seconds left.

With 1 more shot to avoid catastrophe, the Buckeyes could do nothing with their last possession, and Michigan danced off with its 4th straight victory in The Game. For Ohio State, this 1 will hurt for a long time, especially if the loss does in fact derail its Playoff hopes, as the following onlookers believe is very possible.

Chaos has arrived in college football on the final Saturday of the regular season, and it’s colored scarlet and gray. Let the screaming begin:
