Ott heads to OU after 3 seasons at Cal. He’s looking to go get back to his 2023 season levels of production.
Last season, Ott was limited by injuries. He appeared in 10 games, but had the least productive season of his career with 385 rushing yards and 4 touchdowns on 116 carries.
Ott had a breakout sophomore season in 2023. He posted career highs across the board with 246 carries for 1,315 yards and 12 touchdowns, good for an average of 109.6 yards per game over 12 contests.
In 2022, Ott had a strong debut season, logging 170 carries for 897 yards and 8 touchdowns as a freshman.
Ott had originally planned to continue his career at Cal. He announced his return on 2025 on Dec. 29, 2024.
In addition to Ott, the Sooners also announced the signing of Stanford transfer offensive lineman Jake Maikkula. He started 11 games for the Cardinal last season.
