Oklahoma added to its 3rd-ranked 2027 recruiting class on Monday by earning a pledge from 3-star cornerback Trenton Blaylock.
Blaylock chose the Sooners over offers from Vandebilt and Texas, shirking his home-state Longhorns in favor of the rival Sooners. Blaylock hails from Humble, Texas, located just outside of Houston, and plays for Humble Atascocita HS. He stands at 6-foot-1, 175 pounds and also runs track.
His father is former NFL running back Derrick Blylock, who played for the Chiefs and Jets from 2001-2007.

Blaylock is the 4th cornerback added to the Sooners’ 2027 recruiting class, joining 5-star CB Gabriel Osborne Jr. — the Sooners’ top-rated prospect in the class — as well as 4-star CB Mikhail McCreary and 3-star Mikyal Davis. Oklahoma’s 2027 class is currently ranked 3rd in the 247Sports team rankings, the 2nd-highest rated SEC team behind only Texas A&M.
Blaylock is a highly-rated 3-star prospect, considered to be the No. 582 overall prospect in the country, as well as the No. 62 CB and No. 80 player out of the Lone Star State.
