Oklahoma took some time to honor the late Toby Keith inbetween the 3rd and 4th quarters of its game against Temple on Friday night.
During the break, Oklahoma pulled out their phones, turned on their flashlights and sang one of Keith’s most memorable hits — “Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue.”
Here’s video of the full tribute on Friday:

Keith, a Country Music Hall of Famer, passed away earlier this year after a battle with cancer. In addition to his music career, Keith was known for being an Oklahoma fan and could often be seen at football and basketball games.
Oklahoma announced earlier this week it will have sing-a-long tributes for Keith at every home football game this season prior to the start of the 4th quarter. The new tradition is expected to feature a different Keith song each week.
Hits such as “Should’ve Been a Cowboy,” “I Love this Bar,” and “How Do You Like Me Now?!” could be on deck for the coming weeks. This is the first of 4 consecutive home games for Oklahoma. Next week the Sooners will host Houston.
Oklahoma also honored players and coaches from its 1974 and 1975 national championship teams on Friday night.
