Oklahoma in the Playoff? College football fans don’t believe Sooners are top-4 team

For much of Saturday afternoon, Oklahoma was on upset watch. And that’s something nobody expected with the Sooners on the road at Kansas. After all, they entered the matchup having won their previous 16 meetings with the Jayhawks, a streak that dated back to 2000.
Yet, Oklahoma was trailing by 3 points heading into the fourth quarter. Although the Sooners found a way to pull out a 35-23 win, they weren’t nearly as impressive as they should have been in this type of matchup.
Kansas didn’t allow Oklahoma to score for the first 37 minutes, 3 seconds of the game, as the Jayhawks had a 10-0 lead early in the third quarter. The Sooners finally got going, but was it enough to prove they’re worthy of the No. 3 ranking in the country?
During the game, many took to Twitter to claim that Oklahoma, which improved to 8-0, isn’t worthy of reaching the College Football Playoff this season. Here’s some of that reaction:
College Football Playoff could come down to Oklahoma or Cincinnati for last spot. Hopefully committee remembers this performance. Bearcats are the better team.

Looks like Oklahoma will win. Which means that the Sooners will be mentioned among CFP contenders for another week. Have nothing against OU, but all season I haven't seen a team that resembles a top-4 product.

I don’t care if Oklahoma wins out. They don’t deserve a spot in the college football playoff. No way are they better than a 1 or 2 loss Alabama team.

Even if Oklahoma comes back to win, trailing to Kansas at halftime should knock the Sooners out of the CFP conversation. pic.twitter.com/ZNZpQmItrv

Watching this year’s College Football Playoff semifinals if this garbage Oklahoma team somehow slides into the field. pic.twitter.com/lgR8csjJQs

I can assure you that four teams have to make the playoff so I’m not going to count out Oklahoma https://t.co/xiVvfrSa1k

Oklahoma will pull this off but I’m done with the OU playoff talk

Oklahoma deserves no spot in this years playoffs

Even if Oklahoma wins this game and remains undefeated, a team that trails to KANSAS by 2 scores at halftime is no playoff football team

Ku taking a lead into the 4th quarter automatically disqualifies Oklahoma from the playoff right?

We’ve really got to stop rewarding bad football. In college football, bad football sometimes results in wins. Winning games shouldn’t automatically reward you with a CFP berth. Oklahoma has been awful all year long. 13-0. Idc. They have no business in the CFP.

If someone can clearly without bias tell that Cincinnati and Oklahoma are actually a top four team I’d like to hear why. Both would get destroyed in the CFP.

Regardless if #Oklahoma comes back and wins, they have yet to show they are a CFP contender!
