Savage has 8 seasons of SEC experience. He joined Dan Mullen’s Mississippi State program in 2014 as an assistant strength coach. After 2 seasons, he became MSU’s head strength coach in 2016. Savage followed Mullen to Florida, serving as the Gators’ head strength coach for the last 4 seasons.
Despite a social media campaign from Gators players, Savage was not retained by new Florida head coach Billy Napier, who brought over Mark Hocke from Louisiana.
Strength coach Wilson Love is leaving Ole Miss for Oregon.
