Ole Miss and Lane Kiffin have been very aggressive when it comes to the transfer portal over the last couple seasons, but Kiffin is still looking to sign guys from the high school level.
With Jaxson Dart graduating, the future of the quarterback position in Oxford remains a question mark. While it won’t help the Rebels in 2025, the team got some good news on Monday after 3-star quarterback Rees Wise announced he was committing to Ole Miss.
He shared the news of his commitment with On3’s Hayes Fawcett:
Wise is a 3-star prospect out of Austin, Texas, who chose the Rebels over other schools such as SMU, Oklahoma State and Nebraska.
According to the 247Sports Composite rankings, Rees is the No. 36 quarterback in the class. The Rebels are off to a slow start in the 2026 class, as they are currently ranked No. 43 in country.
Expect Ole Miss to pick up its high school recruiting efforts in the coming weeks and months once it has completed its work in the transfer portal for the 2025 offseason.
