Ole Miss and Lane Kiffin continue to be maestros of the transfer portal era thanks to a large financial support system set up by “The Grove Collective,” and they struck again by landing a commitment from Wake Forest wide receiver Deuce Alexander.

The former Demon Deacon redshirted in 2023 and proceeded to explode onto the scene with a productive 2024 campaign. He finished the ’24 season with 36 catches for 400 yards and a pair of touchdowns,

The Douglasville, Ga. product figures to slide right into Kiffin’s high-tempo, gunslinging offensive system. With great initial burst, crisp route-running and solid hands to boot, Alexander fits the mold of other successful receivers under Kiffin.

And with the likes of Tre Harris and Jordan Watkins having exhausted their eligibility, junior Caden Lee returns as the only proven receiver on the Rebel roster next year. Thus, there will be plenty of snaps on the table for Alexander should he earn them.

Notably, Alexander announced his commitment by saying he was going to go “troll” with Lane Kiffin, referencing his new head coach’s tendency to express his opinions on social media platforms.

Alexander’s father Hilton played in the NFL for the San Francisco 49ers and New Orleans Saints for three seasons.
