Ole Miss finished 12th in the final College Football Playoff pole released Sunday afternoon. They were the second-highest ranked SEC team behind No. 2 Alabama.

The Rebels hadn’t been this high in any of the five playoff polls that were released every week starting on Nov. 3. They crested at No. 13 last week, which had ben their previous high. The Rebels were ranked No. 18 when the first poll came out on Nov. 3, but fell out completely the following week after losing 53-52 in overtime to Arkansas. They were back in at No. 22 a week later then jumped four spots to No. 18 after beating LSU.

The Associated Press and Coaches polls came out Sunday as well.  Ole Miss remained ranked No. 16 in the Associated Press poll. In the coaches poll, the Rebels were No. 15.
